Health Canada Wind Turbine and Transformer Station and Electromagnetic Frequency (EMF) Monitoring Web Site is Available

Health Canada has a monitoring system for Radiation Emitting Devices which among other things includes IWTs and transformer stations (EMF). This federal monitoring system informs Health Canada about the health issues occurring with wind energy technology.

You can report to Health Canada, how operating and pending wind energy projects are affecting you. This also fits with an international project coordinated by the World Health Organization to monitor the electrical and magnetic fields from various sources, including power transmission lines and by extension, wind power projects.

The Government of Canada, Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada support the definition of health established by the World Health Constitution of 1948 which states: health is “astate of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease orinfirmity.”

If you want to make a report about any physical, mental or effect on social well-being associated with operating or pending wind energy projects, go to the Health Canada Radiation Emitting Devices monitoring site: http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/contact/ewh-semt/hecs-dgsesc/ccrp-prpcc-eng.php Or you can email your report to ccrpb-pcrpcc@hc-sc.gc.ca or fax it to 613-941-5366 If you wish to call, the toll free line is 1-866-225-0709.

WHO CAN FILE?

Operating sites: Individuals and communities currently experiencing health effects from operating facilities can report to the Health Canada Radiation Emitting Devices monitoring site. If you wish, you can forward past reports to this site.

Pending sites not yet operating: Individuals and communities with pending projects can report to the Health Canada Radiation Emitting Devices monitoring site about the effect a pending is having on your health and social well-being. It is important that Health Canada is informed of past and current adverse health reports filed with provincial governments and developers. You can forward these reports to the monitoring site.
